“We are the Living Church of Newmachar”

The new annex was dedicated Easter 2007 and offered a wider entrance, a welcoming foyer, restroom facilities, a small downtairs kitchen, office, crèche, multi-purpose room and expanded kitchen. More importantly, it gave us a new sense of dedication as this was something we had accomplished as a church family. From fund raising, to planning and through the dust of construction, a new church annex was built and a church family was further united.

A church must be more than prayers and hymns on Sunday to properly nurture the souls of its members. We find praise and fellowship support and sustain our devotion to God and His plan for our lives. From Easter Egg Hunts to luncheons and teas; evenings of games or old classic movies with freshly made popcorn, we come together under God’s roof.

Our Annual Crafty Carollers Christmas Party (above and below) involves the entire community. We begin with carollers wandering through the village to the Guide & Scout Hall for a party of crafts, carols, food and fun.

Crafts at the Kirk (below and lower right) has been meeting for three years and continues to be a great success. It brings together church members and non-church members for a time of fellowship, laughter, talking and crafting. All under God’s roof where He can work His magic.

Crafts at the Kirk appeals to all ages and interests.
We have regular attendants from age 19 to ... well, we best not say. We also offer special craft days for the younger children.

NewMachar Parish Church has a open-door policy.
We are open to anyone and everyone.
Whether you are just passing through the village or have lived here all of your life, we are here for you.
If you are seeking comfort from grief, guidance in life or a dry place from the rain, we welcome you.
You don’t have to be Scottish, a member of the Church of Scotland or a Christian to pass through our doors.
We are a living church of God, seeing with our hearts and never judging, lest we be judged.
Our goal is to provide a haven where your spirit, body and soul can find peace, refuge, joy and strength.
Even though the doors of the building may closed and locked, the hearts of God’s living church are always open.  You will find a host of telephone contacts by clicking HERE any time you are in need - just tell us how we can help.
