	Newmachar Holiday Club Photos Day 4 : “The Magic Continues”


	You can always expect the unexpected at the Holiday Club... and who would expect Christmas in August, except at the Holiday Club? Day 4 celebrated Christmas and the birth of Baby Jesus. A Christmas Pudding Challenge, Celebrity Dress up your Leader, Nativity Play and a visit from Santa were just a few of the day’s highlights.

The Christmas Pudding Challenge was another “in your face” team challenge. Cream pies were filled with chocolates buttons, and you had to locate them to win. . . using ONLY your teeth !

Next it was time for the Dress Your Leader Challenge. Each team selected a different celebrity to dress their leader.
Below, Debbie (Megastars) was dressed as Woody from Toy Story.

Below, Debbie; Hilary (Superstars) appeared as Capt Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the


	Caribbean; Jackie (Starlights) dressed up as Harry Potter and Amanda (Allstars) was utterly “too-too” from High School Musical.


	Judge Douglas McNab had a tough time selecting the winner, but the top honours were awarded to Superstars for their presentation of team leader Hilary as pirate Capt. Jack Sparrow! (below)




		below Of course there could be no true Christmas without the story of Jesus’ birth, for He is the reason for the season! An amazing cast of angels, wise men, sheep, shepherds, camels, stars - and one very happy donkey - joined Mary and Joseph in presenting the Nativity play.




	left Santa Claus made an appearance with special treats during Snack Time. You might note that Santa has lost some weight since Christmas, which just goes to prove that either the months leading up to Christmas Day are the most fattening or it is hard to find a fluffy pillow in August!


	above Team work transformed plain cardboard boxes into individual stages, expressing the interests and ingenuity of each team member. The winning team and final points tally would be announced at church on Sunday!
