O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free! Samuel Trevor Francis, 1875
Each day, may we Pray for the newborns that come into this world so innocent and pure. May their lives be enriched with love, comfort and nurturing wisdom. May they grow to accept the love of our Lord and find the joy of life Everlasting in Christ. Each day, may we also Pray for those who leave this life. May they find the path to your Blessed Grace to be smooth and straight. May they rejoice, just as we who are left behind so rejoice, that their lives on Earth were touched by God’s goodness and mercy. Pray for those who grieve and feel the pain of loss; may they be comforted by family, friends and the healing tears that you instil within us. May we always remember that grief and sadness are not signs of weak faith, but they are the tools to help us heal. Each day, may we also Pray for the fathers, sons and brothers; the mothers, daughters and sisters who serve in the military during this time of global conflict. May they feel the protection of your shield. May they feel the strength of your righteous sword. May they feel the compassion of your loving. May they find the peace in your grace. And may they find the road back to their homes and families in the knowledge and comfort that they have selflessly done their duty above all else. Each day, may we also Pray for the soldiers who fall in the path of harm. We know your heavenly mercy will be with them as it will be with their families in their time of pain, sadness, grief and sorrow. Let the fallen and the surviving understand with certainty and knowledge that nothing on Heaven or Earth is unseen or unnoticed by God. When a voice cries out on the battlefield or whispers on bent knee before the cross, God hears ... God listens... God abides ... God Answers.
‘If I rise on the wings of the dawn, it I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.’ Psalm 139:9-10
